What is shotblasting? Shotblasting or surface cleaning and surface treatment are terms for a technological process in which even stubborn impurities on metal such as rust and similar are completely removed.
When shotblasting, the surface is treated with abrasive material. Quartz sand is the most common material used in sandblasting. However, we can also use many other materials. Shotblasting is the only process for ideal surface preparation before applying coating materials or paints.
Sandblasting removes old coatings and corrosion. In addition to cleaning, the material treated with sandblasting can also be heat-cured and treated, thus achieving various rough nesses of metal surfaces.
